2015 Tax Deadline for 2014 Federal Tax Return

January 6, 2015 | By Rich | |

2015 Tax Day for 2014 Federal Tax Return
2015 Tax Day is Wednesday, April 15Tax

Tax Day 2015, the deadline for filing your 2014 federal tax return, is Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

I know, some of you are thinking, “Come on Rich, this is not news – everyone knows the IRS tax deadline is always April 15.”

Well, yes, but that’s not exactly true. Because if April 15 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the IRS gives Americans until the following Monday to file our returns, meaning the deadline could be as late as April 17.

Which is great for tax procrastinators like me. Most years, I’m pretty much a wait-to-the-last-minute kind of guy when it comes to filing my tax returns. But this year, my goal is to file my 2014 return by February 28, 2015. Wish me luck!

Do you like to file your tax returns right away?  Or wait to the last minute? Or are you somewhere in between?

Money Wisdom from the Bible

"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." - 1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NIV) Click for more of the Bible and Money...
