2019 Tax Day for 2018 Federal Tax Return
2019 Tax Day is Monday, April 15

Wondering when the 2019 tax deadline is for filing your 2018 federal tax return? Tax Day 2019 is Monday, April 15, 2019. I know, some of you might be thinking, “Come on Rich, everyone knows the IRS tax deadline is always April 15.” Well, that’s not always true. Here’s why…

Because if April 15 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the IRS gives Americans until the following Monday to file our returns, meaning the deadline could be as late as April 17.

Which is great for tax procrastinators like me.

Most of my life, I’ve been a wait-to-the-last-minute kind of guy when it comes to filing my tax returns. In fact, there have been many times when I have dropped off my tax returns at the post office just before midnight on tax day.

But over the last few years I’ve finished it up in early March. That’s my goal for this year as well.

What about you? Do you like to file your tax returns right away? Or wait to the last minute? Or are you somewhere in between?

Money Wisdom from the Bible

"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." - 1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NIV) Click for more of the Bible and Money...
