April is Financial Literacy Month

April 17, 2012 | By Rich | |

April is National Financial Literacy Month, which makes now – especially after just doing your taxes – a great time to review your finances and consider any adjustments that should be made.

This Financial Literacy Month website invites you to take the 2012 Financial Literacy Challenge, which includes a 30-step path to achieve financial wellness.

You don’t have to start it in April – you can begin the 30 step path to financial wellness at any time.

Financial Literacy MonthThe first, and I think most important, step toward financial wellness is to examine your attitudes about money.

Other steps include how to get financially organized, how to maintain your credit, how to get a credit report, how to pay down debt, how to save, how to reduce expenses, and more.

To learn more, visit the Financial Literacy Month site.

Money Wisdom from the Bible

"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." - 1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NIV) Click for more of the Bible and Money...
